Claverton Healthcare are working on plans for a new state of the art dementia care home of 75 bedrooms with en-suite facilities together with 51 extra care apartments.

The new facility will be linked with a central hub in the form of a glass atrium and will provide a restaurant for residents in a light and welcoming environment. The apartments will share facilites with the care home, providing support for residents and nursing care if required.

Claverton anticipate 70 new jobs to be created when the home opens. A planning application is due to be submitted during January 2009.
